The blast from the cannon known as “Touchdown Tommy” and a sweep of white smoke in the stadium signals the arrival of the Hurricanes on the field. This championship team has a lot to prove in the 2014-15 season. They'll take on rivals like Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame. Known by locals and fans as the Canes, the team has a long history of dominating on the field. Over the years, its players have been scooped up by the NFL, including recent Hall of Fame inductees Warren Sapp and Cortez Kennedy. The team has won 5 national championships.
